NotesKim Petrovich Kovali was born on December 5, 1930, in Ussurysk, a city in Primorsky Krai, Russia. From 1945 to 1948 he studied with N.A. Romashikin, A. A. Peak, and S.F. Alefin at the Soviet Army House Military Artists Studio in Ussurysk and in 1956, at the house of creativity named after I E. Repin "Academic Dacha" where he worked with V.N. Gavrilov, V.F. Zagonek, V.Sidorov. He was a member of the Soviet Academy of Arts and the Academy of Arts of the Coastal Regions, the Council of Coastal Local Organizations of the USSR, the Exhibition Committee of the Zone "Soviet Far East" (1965), the Exhibition Committee of the Republic (1967), the Council of the USSR (1969-1972), the Council of the USSR (1967). He was a Representative of the Congress of Artists of the USSR, leader of the group of artists of the Ustries in Primorsky (1961 to 1994, 1971, 1979, 1989). He traveled extensively: Romania, Cuba, India, For his creative and public activities, he was awarded diplomas of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the diplomas of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation. His works are in 15 museums and galleries in Russia. He is represented in 11 countries in galleries and private collections in Riga, Canada, Japan, Australia, France, Spain, Lebanon, Germany and Korea. His works have been purchased by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation Art Fund.
