Description
Graphite drawing, study for the Desdemone Maudite par Son Pere, now in the Brooklyn Museum. With the Delacroix “E. D.” stamp (Lugt 838a) at lower center and the collector stamp of Eugene Calando (Lugt 837) at lower left. Inscribed “Maitresse de” at upper right (possibly in Delacroix’s hand”. Executed on thin laid paper.
