NotesHuang Chuanwei was born in Beijing in 1941. Also known as Huang Wei, he graduated in 1964 from the decorative painting department of the Central Academy of Art and Design, majoring in mural painting. Huang was engaged in animation film creation in his early years and is one of the main creators of many famous Chinese classic animation films. In addition to filming, he created a large number of paintings. His works have been selected for many national and Shanghai art exhibitions, and some of his works have been published and exhibited abroad. In 1987, he lived in Tokyo, Japan, and was active in Japanese and international painting circles as a professional painter.
