NotesGladys H Z was born in Shanghai in 1966. She began painting when her husband gave her a book on watercolor painting. Completely self-taught, she developed a unique form of highly stylized caricature portraiture rich in emotional content. Gladys lives and works with her husband, Karlin, in Orange County, New York.
