NotesDavid Schneuer, born in Przemyśl, then Austria-Hungary, was a Polish stage designer and poster painter.

His family wanted to emigrate to America, but during the stay in Hamburg decided to stay in Germany. He attended the Oberrealschule in Munich. At the age of 18 he lived with his parents in Munich. In 1923 he went to Paris and visited the art academy there. He then worked as a stage designer and poster painter at the Münchner Schauspielhaus.

After his imprisonment in Dachau, David Schneuer emigrated to Israel in 1933, where he lived and worked until his death at the end of 1988. During this time he designed numerous wall paintings in many public places and oceans in Israel and abroad.

Schneuer's works are characterized by the influence of the golden twenties. In addition to many exhibitions in Israel, Canada, USA and Europe, his works from the 1930s can be found in the major museums of the world.
